Between 1982 and 1992, Zippo released a series of solid brass commemorative lighters to celebrate its heritage, starting with the 50th anniversary model in 1982. These lighters featured a unique bottom stamp reading "1932 ZIPPO 19XX," with the last two digits indicating the year of manufacture. Early versions sometimes included the word “COMMORATIVE,” and some featured vintage-style flat-top cases. Offered in brushed or high-polish brass with a gold-flash finish to resist tarnishing, these lighters are now prized by collectors for their distinctive design, historical value, and consistent production over a decade.
